Allgemeines zum Konsiliarlabor für Toxopolasmose

• Am Institut ist auch das Konsiliarlabor Toxoplasma angesiedelt. Das Konsiliarlabor steht für folgende Aufgaben zur Verfügung:
• Beratungsangebot für Öffentlichen Gesundheitsdienst, Laboratorien, Ärzte, Patienten und Forschungsinstitute
• Arbeiten im Rahmen der Qualitätssicherung (Teilnahme an Studien und Ringversuchen)
• Weiterbildungsangebote
• Durchführung spezifischer Laborleistungen (Serologie und direkter Erregernachweis)
• Weiter- oder Neuentwicklung diagnostischer Verfahren
• Mitwirkung bei der epidemiologischen Bewertung der Situation durch das Robert Koch-Institut
• Durchführung von Studien innerhalb eines Netzwerkes diagnostischer Einrichtungen
• Beratung des Robert Koch-Instituts und Mitwirkung bei der Erarbeitung wissenschaftlicher Materialien (z.B. Falldefinitionen, RKI-Ratgeber)
• Mitwirkung in der Arbeitsgruppe Toxoplasmose der Paul-Ehrlich-Gesellschaft
